Mobile Nokia N810 luxury

Halfway between a mobile phone and a small notebook, the Nokia N810 is presented as the new standard of so-called Internet Tablet. A portentous display of more than 4 inches, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, a GPS receiver and an excellent web browser makes this device a rarity in the catalogue of the Finnish firm. Is Worth prefer this or N810 is better to go for a UMPC?
The integration of a sliding QWERTY keyboard that does not compromise too much space device is a great advantage. Even so, while facilitating the writing is a bit awkward to use because of their size and status.
# The TI OMAP 2420 processor 400 MHz falls a bit short for applications that this model is able to run as charting a path in the GPS navigator, or play a movie.
# The internal memory of 2 GB soon be exhausted. A couple of movies and some music are enough to reach the limit. Fortunately, the N810 has a MicroSD card slot and microSDHC Card, which prior step-by-box can solve this problem.
# The software and integrated applications are very entertainment-oriented and neglect the professional field, except for a modest reader PDF documents. This deficiency can overcome exprimiendo the possibilities offered by the open source operating system of N810, based on Linux Maemo 4.0.
# The N810 is not a Nokia phone. While this is no surprise, the fact is that this gap might impede access to the Internet when there is no nearby hotspot. In turn, the alternatives offered to make calls-Skype or Gizmo, the latter with interoperability-dependent on Wi-Fi.
In fact, if there is an access point Wi-Fi, we can only connect to the network throwing hand of a 3G phone via the port Bluetooth device, or configuring the USB connection in the "host" and connecting an USB modem. The latter option requires a certain skill by the user, since it is necessary to write code and perform some simple fudge.
Given the guidance of N810 as a wireless device to surf the Internet, surprising that it was not well endowed WiMAX technology. Dependence on an access point or an open network can provide-in a country like Spain-a major constraint for a device like this.
The device integrates a VGA camera that allows us to make video calls, but lacks a second to take snapshots or that peculiar camera original guidance of N800. One limitation incomprehensible, given the importance that Nokia has always given to the capture of photographs and videos in their series models N.
The GPS navigator that incorporates after the first examinations carried out, we felt it right and with good sensitivity, however without reaching the excellence of Sirf Star III.
The device is fitted with an audio takes a standard 3.5-mm headphone instead of the uncomfortable connections typical in many other appliances.
The Mozilla browser technology supports Ajax and Flash 9.0 and lets you enjoy the Internet with much greater ease than in other devices.
