AMSTERDAM - Elektronicagigant says Matsushita 10 billion yen to 20 billion yen (€ 60 to € 120 million) damage to walk through the recall of the Japanese manufacturer Nokia battery. Nokia warned earlier this month that 46 million batteries of the type of BL-5C may become overheated.
Nokia decided that the batteries between december 2005 and november 2006 by Matsushita manufactured free to replace. All direct costs associated with the replacement shall be borne by Matsushita Battery Industrial.
The damage that Matsushita will continue to think the recall is lower than the estimates of analysts. They calculate the damage between 10 billion yen and 50 billion yen, while some even in an amount of 138 billion yen came out.
Matsushita sees therefore no reason for its financial expectations of its operation. The largest electronics in the world this year expects a turnover increase of 3.8 percent to 477 billion yen.
