The Finnish handset manufacturers Nokia, warned Tuesday that possible 46 million batteries in several types of devices may become overheated. These so-called lithium-ion batteries on the type of BL-5C, which Matsushita between december 2005 and november 2006 for Nokia has manufactured. The Japanese company is one of several manufacturers who collectively 300 million units of the type of battery to Nokia delivered.
The warning comes after a hundred times around the world was reported that during the battery charging overheat. Nokia has announced it will exchange defective batteries.
